Some villages and towns are reporting a lack of money to pay the wages of electoral officers, representatives of the Association of Towns and Villages (ZMOS) said on Thursday, February 23.
According to ZMOS chairman Jozef Dvonč, Prime Minister Iveta Radičová was informed about the issue and intends to let the Interior Ministry make inquiries. "I believe that she will do her utmost to allow the election to proceed in peace, without any negative disruptions such as having people on district electoral commissions complaining about not being paid," Dvonč told the TASR newswire after meeting Radičová.
