RAILWAY network operator Železnice Slovenskej republiky (ŽSR) has once again announced a tender to select a site supervisor for track modernization on the Piešťany-Nové Mesto nad Váhom railway section.
This is already the third tender. The company had to cancel the first, based on a Public Procurement Office order, while the second was cancelled because bidders failed to meet tender conditions, the SITA news agency reported.
Entities interested in the project have to submit their bids by December 23.
ŽSR originally planned to start works on the 19.98-km-long section in the second half of this year. Modernization is due to be completed in 2008.
