After a thrilling game full of goals, Slovakia lost to Canada

Altogether 11 goals were scored. Canada scored the winning one only two seconds before the end of the final period.

The Slovak national hockey team lost all three points in their third match of the 2019 IIHF World Championships against Canada. The match ended with the result 5:6.

Two Slovak goals were scored by Adam Liška and Matúš Sukeľ, and one by Marko Daňo. Anthony Mantha, Damon Severson, Jonathan Marchessault, Anthony Cirelli, Troy Stecher and Mark Stone scored for Canada.

Slovakia still has only 3 points in the preliminary round.

This year’s ice hockey world championship is being held in Slovakia, with the teams playing in Bratislava and Košice.

The Slovak national team is playing in group A of the preliminary round, with the matches being held in Košice. They will face teams from the US, Finland, Canada, Germany, France, Great Britain, and Denmark.

Based on the current men’s IIHF World Rankings, Slovakia is currently in 10th position with Canada ranking 1st.
