Vadovičová wins another medal

The Paralympic shooter now has three medals.

Slovak Paralympic shooter Veronika Vadovičová won her third medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

She won the silver medal in R8 (women’s 50m 3 positions SH1), being defeated only by Cuiping Zhang from China. South Korean shooter Yunri Lee placed third.

“It was difficult to hit the right positions in such a short time,” Vadovičová said, as quoted by the SITA newswire. “I was also stressed as I felt the responsibility or duty to stay on medal positions at the end.”

Moreover, this category is more demanding and requires more concentration, Vadovičová admitted for the TASR newswire.

Vadovičová has already won two golds in R2 (women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1) and in the combined discipline air rifle 60 in the lying position.
