As a guest of the Authors' Reading Month, Iranian poet and activist Fatemeh Ekhtesari presents an evening of readings and reflections on life, censorship, and creativity under pressure.

Renowned for her unflinching exploration of gender, religion and human rights, Ekhtesari weaves personal experience — of imprisonment, censorship and eventual exile — into her poetry and prose. Now based in Norway, she continues to write, publish and speak out through literature and film.
