Slovakia Cantat

April 24, at 19:00 in Jesuit Church (Františkánske námestie).

The Slovakia Cantat International Festival is a competition for children's, youth, and adult choirs, taking place on April 24-26. Its mission is to uphold the tradition of choirs and orchestras meeting in Bratislava. Choirs from Belgium, Slovenia, Macedonia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia will all participate in the festival.

The opening concert of the festival will be in the Jesuit Church on Františkánske square. See the programme here.

Trio Azevedo Portinho – Brazilian Jazz Night

April 22, at 19:00 in Jazztikot (Biela 5).

As part of a series of free cultural events in Bratislava, the Embassy of Brazil invites you to a jazz concert by the Azevedo Portinho Trio. Brazilian pianist Ana Azevedo, double bassist Lipe Portinho, and Estonian singer Pille-Rite Rei will be performing. This unique blend of Brazilian rhythms and Scandinavian jazz promises to be an exceptional musical experience, free and open to all.

Hike to the Small Carpathians

Meeting point: April 19, at 8:25 at Patrónka, Bus station.

Discover the beauty of western Slovakia with a group of fellow nature lovers and foreigners. The meeting point is at Patrónka bus station in Bratislava this Saturday, at 8:25.

The group will hike a scenic 20 km route from Mariánka to Pajštún Castle, ending in Stupava. Along the way, enjoy forest paths, panoramic views, and even visit the ruins of a medieval fortress.
