Devín Castle makes ancient Roman ruins accessible again, launches new website

Information about site now available in German, too.

Devín Castle has been undergoing extensive renovation for the last two years in what has been one of the largest investments in the site in many years.

The changes around the castle grounds include new information panels, navigation boards, and rest areas where visitors can picnic in the summer.

The changes have been welcomed by tourists. "It's my first time here, but I had no problem finding my way around here, we also have a map on the ticket," said Andrea Hovancová, showing the back of her ticket.

The entrance fee to the castle is €8 for adults in the summer season from April to October, dropping to €4 for the winter season.

Meanwhile, the museum has launched a new website.
