This exhibition is a chance for Slovakia to present itself abroad. Economy Minister Vazil Hudák expressed satisfaction with Slovak pavilion – as quoted by the SITA newswire. “This exhibition is a chance to present ourselves as a country that is dynamic, young, innovative. This is the main message we want to keep,” Hudák said.
Slovakia paid €5 million without VAT for building the country pavilion. “It is the second lowest sum, after Romania – so one could say it is a lot of music for a little money, as we tend to say in Slovakia,” he added.
Kiska said that his homeland is a gallery of success, human creativity and innovation, progress and development. He also stressed the human potential and Slovakia being the land of new discoveries and technologies in raw materials, energy saving, nutrition – and he also mentioned the first “flying car”, as quoted by SITA.
