This manor house was destroyed during WWII. Only ruins left.

The castle used to stand at the same spot.

The Bačkov Manor House was built in 1750, on the ruins of Bačkov Castle. Only the remnants of the manor house are left, the TASR newswire reported.

The manor house was destroyed during WWII by a retreating German army. The whole village of Bačkov burnt down.

There was a lack of construction material and what remained of the castle was taken by the locals to build new houses, informs the website of the village.
