Mini Slovakia, a park of miniatures is located in a beautiful environment at the start of the Jánska Valley near Liptovský Ján covering an area of almost one hectare. Visitors can stroll amongst Slovak cultural and technical monuments such as castles, churches and bell towers.
There are eighteen models in the park and seven more should be added soon. The gauge of the models is 1:25. Visitors can discover Bojnický Castle, Strečno Castle, the former building of the town hall in Levoča and a railway among the models. Bojnický Castle is the biggest.
Kamil Fischer came up with the idea of miniature park and created all of the miniatures with his own hands and with the help of his family.
“The first idea for a miniature park arose in 1993,” wrote Fischer on his website. The models are faithful copies of real buildings. For example, the miniature town hall from Levoča has the same plastering as the real building.
Seven new miniatures should enrich the garden soon. Dobšinská Ice Cave and Bratislavský Castle should be among the new additions.
