Orava Castle is closed in April

Until the big festival in the end of April, Orava Castle is closed the whole month due to maintenance.

Orava Castle is closed for visitors during April. The reason is technical maintenance, the Orava Museum of P.O. Hviezdoslav, which operates the castle, wrote on its website.

The same goes for the unique Orava Historical Back-Swath Forest Railway in Oravská Lesná.

The opening of the new season at Orava Castle and the forest railway comes on April 28-29, during the Thurzo festival (Turzovské Slávnosti), which will hail, among other things, the 150^th anniversary of the Orava Museum, the TASR newswire wrote, citing the museum website.
