Tourists of the via ferrata in Skalka near Kremnica can walk on the longest cable bridge and cable climbing net in Slovakia.
“We finished part of the via ferrata, called Komín,” said Alexander Ferenčík, mayor of Kremnica, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
It is a cable bridge 30 metres in height and 79 metres in length. There is also a 37.5-metre high climbing cable net, he added.
The Komín via ferrata is located in the Kremnické Mountains. The route starts at Pekná Vyhliadka. A popular attraction on the route is a tunnel that was reconstructed two years ago.
Various difficulties
The via ferrata is only one-way and it has three possible directions: Komín with a difficulty of C, Trubačova Veža with a difficulty of B and Challenge with a difficulty of E, the most-challenging via ferrata ever built in Slovakia.
