Tuhár, a village in the south of central Slovakia, is becoming more attractive. Most recently, local people have started building via ferratas to make movement on Bralo cliff safer.

"The high cliffs and boulders remind some visitors of faces," said Peter Čeman, mayor of Tuhár, adding that the first stage of the via ferrata construction took place on the last Saturday in October.

The next one is planned for spring, writes the My Novohrad website.

"There is a cave in the stone cliff, the terrain is steep, there is a risk of sliding down the rocks. That's why we secured the trail with chains," the mayor added.

A viewpoint on Bralo cliff, above the cave, was also constructed.

"In case of favourable weather, the High Tatras can be observed from there," noted Čeman.

The viewpoint and the new educational shelter are part of the 3.5-kilometre Tuhár - Bralo educational trail .
