Daniel Krajcer

CULTURE Minister Daniel Krajcer was born on September 19, 1969 in Bratislava. He studied library science and informatics at Comenius University and later studies law at the same university.

CULTURE Minister Daniel Krajcer was born on September 19, 1969 in Bratislava. He studied library science and informatics at Comenius University and later studies law at the same university.

Krajcer started a career in journalism in 1994 in regional broadcasting for Slovak Radio where he worked until 1996 when he left to join the first private TV channel Markíza. He began working as the host of Markíza’s political discussion programme Sito in 1998.

In 2006 he began switched jobs and joined another private TV channel, JOJ, where he continued as the host of a political discussion programme called De Facto. In October 2006 he became part of the management team at TV JOJ, responsible for dramaturgy and production of publicity programmes and strategic projects.

He became a member of Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) in 2009 and was elected as an MP from the party in the 2010 election. He was then chosen head the culture ministry.

Daniel Krajcer is married with two children.
