Police charge school staff over death of schoolboy
THE SLOVAK Catholic Schools Association (ZKŠS) have issued a statement in defence of staff from the United Primary School in the Bratislava borough of Karlova Ves who are facing charges relating to responsibility for the death of a six-year-old schoolboy called Matúš, who was crushed by a snow-laden tree branch that fell on him in the schoolyard last winter.

A PICTURE of a Slovak man who is turning 100-years-old has received more than 3,500 wishes in several languages after his grandson Peter Holík published his photo on social networks.
Company selling land for Jaguar plant oppose fraud claims
A COMPANY called Poľnohospodárska pôda (Agricultural Land) which has been buying up plots on which Jaguar Land Rover is planning to build a factory in Nitra, intends to file a criminal complaint for slander against the non-parliamentary Sieť party leader Radoslav Procházka, the TASR newswire learnt on August 27.
Police find lost Andy Warhol picture
THE DIRECTOR of the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, Valika Maďarová, faced calls for her resignation after the museum lost a picture from Warhol’s famous Campbell’s Soup Can series. However the police have now recovered the pictures, the SITA newswire reported.
