In 2023 the Slovak residential real estate market experienced one of the most turbulent years of recent times. Rising interest rates, the war in Ukraine and other factors made mortgages less affordable and increased the price of new housing, discouraging potential buyers from purchasing new properties.

Nevertheless, developers are continuing to prepare new projects that will bring thousands of new apartments onto the market.
