Banks to merge in new year

On January 1, 1999, Bank Austria a.s. Bratislava will merge with Creditanstalt a.s. Bratislava to give rise to a new company - Bank Austria Creditanstalt Slovakia a.s. Bratislava. The balance sum of the new company will be 35 billion Sk ($1 billion).
