In total, 73,938 cars were sold in Slovakia in 2011, 2,987 units more than than in 2010. Sales figures for new passenger cars and small utility vehicles up top 3.5 tonnes in 2011 by manufacturer were as follows, with the 2010 market share in brackets:
1. Škoda – 13,865 units: 18.75 percent of market (19.21 percent of market)
2. Volkswagen – 6,475 units: 8.76 percent (6.94 percent)
3. Peugeot – 5,086 units: 6.88 percent (6.68 percent)
4. Kia – 4,920 units: 6.65 percent (6.16 percent)
5. Renault – 4,901 units: 6.63 percent (7.03 percent)
6. Citroën – 3,596 units: 4.86 percent (6.10 percent)
7. Hyundai – 3,575 units: 4.84 percent (4.75 percent)
8. Opel – 3,201 units: 4.33 percent (3.76 percent)
9. Ford – 3,042 units: 4.11 percent (4.11 percent)
10. Fiat – 3,023 units: 4.09 percent (4.3 percent)
