Current acct. at -29.5 mln. Sk

The current account balance of payments has dropped a little more in the red, falling to 29.5 billion Sk at the end of May, the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) reported. For the first four months of 1997, the current account ran a deficit of 26 billion Sk, of which the foreign trade deficit made up 15.8 billion Sk. The capital account showed a surplus of 20.8 billion Sk at the end of April.
