The head of the national labour office has estimated that 130,000 people are working in Slovakia without legal contracts.
The claim came as the Ministry of Labour estimated the number of registered job seekers in Slovakia at 531,700 people at the end of this year, almost one tenth of the population. It also predicted year-end unemployment of between 18.7 and 19%.
