The first financial self-serve facility - an automatic bank - was opened by the Slovak Savings House a.s. (Slovenská sporiteľňa, SLSP) in Banská Bystrica. In the new bank there are ATM machines, an information terminal and a printing machine, deposit machines and machines for input of coins and bank notes. "The aim of SLSP is to build these zones in all main regional towns and other big towns as soon as possible and thus cut down on employees," said the general director of the Passive Operations Division, Alena Crhová.
