KFC will not be organized under the franchise system in Slovakia, the Hospodárske noviny daily reported. "According to a contract with Yum, the company that owns the KFC brand, we've got the right to open these restaurants in Slovakia," said Stanislav Szabó of Queensway Restaurants.

The company says that in the near future it wants to concentrate on KFC's growth on the market. At the same time, however, it does not rule out the expansion of Pizza Hut, for which it is also responsible in Slovakia. There are currently two Pizza Hut restaurants in Bratislava, and one each in Nitra and Košice.
