Labor productivity grew 31% in mining industry

Labor productivity (output per employee) was as much as 31 percent higher in June 1997, compared with June 1996, in companies with more than 20 employees from the energy raw material mining sector, [NEED ATTRIBUTION]. The rise marks the highest increase in all industrial sectors in Slovakia. Labor productivity in transportation vehicles construction ranked second and pulp and paper production ranked third. The average increase in labor productivity was 11.7 percent across the industrial sector.
