The presence of electronics maker Matsushita in eastern Slovakia's Krompachy has attracted two smaller east Asian firms who will settle in the area. The moves will create almost 250 new jobs, a company official has said.
Other large investments in the east Slovak region have attracted foreign firms both as suppliers and independently. Steel giant US Steel Košice this year launched an active campaign to attract foreign firms to the Košice region.
