The Slovak daily Pravda wrote that the project would first create 60 new jobs, and later add another 100.

The company will start production in August and plans to produce 0.5 million keyboard imprints a month.

Daishiro Konomi, the company's general director for Europe, said that Minebea might consider moving another operation, currently based in Germany, to the central European state if the Slovak operation proves successful.

The company produces airplanes roller bearings and employs 280 people.
