A group of companies comprising the multinational company ABB received orders for over one billion Sk ($27.47 million) for the first nine months of this year. ABB's main activity is development, production, sales and services connected with the use of electric energy and automation. "Via these entreprises, ABB plans to get orders worth 1.5 billion Sk ($41.2 million) by the end of the year. Our aim is to generate a profit. Our lower profitability was primarily caused by high investment into people," said the President and General Director of ABB in Slovakia, Bernhard Koehler. ABB Slovakia comprises the companies ABB Elektro s.r.o. Bratislava, ABB Slovenergia s.r.o. Bratislava and ABB Komponenty s.r.o. Košice, which sells low-voltage electro-installation materials. ABB Elektro concentrates on the transfer and conveyance of energy for big Slovak clients. The main activity of ABB Slovenergia is in the area of energy supplies and services.
