Packaging maker's revenues at Sk1.92 billion

PACKAGING maker Grafobal, Skalica ended the fiscal year with revenues totalling Sk1.92 billion (€50.6 million). In 2003 it reported revenues of Sk1.88 billion (€50 million).

Growth trends the company recorded in 2004 were also reflected in other economic indicators, in particular in higher added value and operating profit.

The company's exports grew 7.5 percent last year when they exceeded Sk969 million (€25.4 million). Investments into its Skalica plant were more than Sk250 million (€6.55 million). Grafobal Skalica registered 718 people on its payroll last year. In 2004 the company built its fourth production plant abroad, Grafobal Don in the Russian town of Rostov on Don.

Grafobal Skalica is a member of the Grafobal Group. Apart from the plant in Russia it operates three further plants abroad, in the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
