THE VOLUME of approved applications for the EU's structural fund support stood at Sk62.9 billion as of May 2, SITA news agency wrote.
These applications related to 3,638 projects. In total, the Slovak Construction Ministry received 11,625 applications for Sk189.8 billion. The value of 2,423 projects being implemented is Sk41.3 billion.
The Construction Ministry registered the highest demand for support within the Basic Infrastructure operating programme, where applications for 3,267 projects accounted for Sk73.4 billion. However, the value of 1,006 approved projects amounted to Sk23.2 billion.
From 1,163 projects within the Industry and Services programme worth Sk48 billion, only 337 projects worth Sk12.7 billion were approved as of May 2. The ministry also registered 2,795 applications for Sk32.3 billion under the Agriculture and Rural Development programme. The authorities approved 1,152 of these, amounting to Sk11.5 billion.
