Promens Nitra begins operating at new plant

PROMENS Nitra, s.r.o. has launched production at its new plant in the Nitra-Sever industrial park. Construction began in March this year and installation of production technology began in August. The parent company Promens Group, based in Iceland, invested approximately Sk170 million (€5.643 million) in Nitra, western Slovakia, the SITA newswire wrote on October 6.

The company plans to gradually expand its production capacity. The company's general manager, Jan Bednár, stated that it would like to expand production and storage capacities next year. The current developed area covers 5,500 square metres, which will double upon completion of the project. The company’s annual turnover is approximately €5 million (Sk150.6 million), which it wants to triple by 2015.

Promens Nitra has been active in the Slovak market since 2000. It now employs 100 people and plans to increase staff numbers to 200 by 2010. The facility serves the car industry with a portfolio of various interior and exterior components.
