Slovakia has some of the best conditions for winter sports in all of
Europe. Even though Slovak ski resorts cannot boast the scale of
some in the Alps, the natural conditions of Slovakia's slopes,
aided by €millions invested in new runs, ski lifts, chair lifts,
snow-making facilities, hotels, restaurants and other facilities
have significantly improved the level of services in the recent
past. This year 60 of the more than 200 ski centres in Slovakia
were evaluated by Lavex and Sitour for quality and these
rankings will remain valid until May 2012. Here are the best ski
centres in Slovakia, those receiving 5 or 4 stars in the evaluation:
