Slovak sports channel could return

THE THIRD channel offered by public-service Slovak television, known as Trojka, ceased broadcasting on June 30 last year. The decision to halt the all-sports channel, which was launched just prior to the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, was solely financial, according to Ľuboš Machaj, programme director of the merged public-service broadcaster Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS), which was created in January 2011, the SITA newswire reported.
