Slovakia is more digitally competitive, but it still lags behind its neighbours

Slovakia placed 47th in the 2019 World Digital Competitiveness Ranking.

Although Slovakia improved its digital competitiveness, it still lags behind its neighbours.

The country jumped up three places to finish 47th out of 63 countries in the 2019 World Digital Competitiveness Ranking.

The ranking is published by the renowned Swiss Institute for Management Development in cooperation with F. A. Hayek Foundation and another 56 organisations from across the globe.

“The index reflects the readiness of the business environment for the development of the digital economy,” said Martin Reguli, analyst with F. A. Hayek Foundation, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
