Slovaks love Zlatý Bažant and Nokia

A SURVEY, conducted by GfK Slovakia, claims that traditional Slovak brands like Zlatý Bažant (the beer), Slovnaft (the oil refinery), and Popradská káva (the coffee brand) have been imprinted in the memory of Slovak customers.

However, foreign brands like Allianz, Adidas, and Nokia have won a firm place as well, the daily SME reported.

Slovaks' favourite mobile phone trademarks are Nokia, Siemens, and Motorola; some of the country's other most favoured brands are Adidas, Nike, and Puma.

According to the economic weekly Trend, mobile phone operator Orange leads the spending chart in advertisement with Sk702.5 million (€17 million), followed by its rival EuroTel with Sk624.2 million (€15 million).
