Finance Minister Brigita Schmögnerová said that the state hoped to have a portion of its 60% stake in finance house Poštová banka sold to an investor by February 2002.
In related news, the daily paper Sme claimed to have information that Austrian Bawag, along with Slovakia's Poštová Banka, are the two bidders who have expressed interest in privatising Slovakia's smallest bank, Banka Slovakia. A tender for the bank was recently extended by 60 days by the FNM privatisation agency.
