The state will not have to pay compensation for imposing a ban on private health insurers to generate profits. The Bratislava I District Court dismissed a lawsuit submitted by the Penta financial group on July 19.
The verdict is not valid yet, the Sme daily reported.
Penta needs to read the verdict, the ministry is satisfied
Penta was asking for €82 million plus another €140 million in interests for a measure that was introduced by the first Robert Fico government (2006-2010). It originally demanded €750 million in compensation and later reduced its claim to €480 million, Sme wrote.

“We have to read today’s decision carefully,” said Martin Danko of Penta, as quoted by Sme.
