KDH chooses stork as election mascot

THE STORK, a bird that is native to Slovakia and has a sense of family and order, will be the mascot of the Christian Democrats (KDH) in the upcoming elections.

The KDH, a former member of the ruling coalition that joined the opposition following a clash with Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda in February, plans to spend up to Sk25 million (€660,000) on its pre-election campaign, the SITA news agency reported.
