AFTER five years, the Night of the AdEaters advertising show is returning to Slovakia.

From February 22 to February 23, visitors can see hundreds of commercials screened in all theatres of the Palace Cinemas multiplex in the Aupark shopping mall.

Among the most interesting spots this year are cigarette commercials directed by such acknowledged directors as Jean Luc Godard, David Lynch, Emir Kusturica, Roman Polanski, Wim Wenders, Robert Altman, the Cohen Brothers, Olivier Paulus and others.

There will be also a spot with Madonna directed by her husband, Guy Richie.

Created in 1981 by Jean Marie Boursicot, The Night of the AdEaters quickly conquered France and the rest of the world, reads the show's official website. Now his collection contains 700,000 commercials.

This year's show offers 500 commercials that date from 1898 to the present.
