SLOVAK RAILWAYS (ŽSR), which maintains and operates rail infrasructure, has announced a tender for a three-year insurance policy. It will cover its property and third-party damages accountability, the 24hod.sk news site wrote.

The deadline for accepting requests for the tender, which has an estimated value of Sk124.5 million, is March 21. Applications must be filed by April 10 because the envelopes with the bids will be opened on April 11, the railway company said.

Cost is the main criterion for deciding the winning bid. To succeed, a prospective applicant must hand in a list of successfully completed contracts of the same type for the years 2005 to 2007. The contracts must have had a value higher than Sk40 million and include references.
