The date for preliminary Internet reservation for submission of bids linked to non-refundable financial contributions from the EU funds for the infrastructure of non-commercial rescue services started on July 1.

This follows from terms of the second call announced in relation to the Regional Operational Program (ROP). The Ministry of Construction and Regional Development, as the managing authority of ROP, will announce the end of acceptance of reservations seven days in advance at www.ropka.sk/rezervacia and related websites www.build.gov.sk and www.nsrr.sk. Application bids within this call will be received from September 1, 2008. The process will continue until the last possible date on the basis of the registration.

The Construction Ministry announced the call related to support for infrastructure of non-commercial rescue services on May 30, 2008, while its end has been scheduled for March 20, 2009. It aims at upgrading the quality and safety of public space through reconstruction, expansion and modernisation of non-commercial rescue service facilities including the procurement of equipment for them. The budget for this infrastructure accounts for €94.1 million, of which the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is contributing €80 million (85 percent). The remaining €14.1 million will come from the state budget and sources of beneficiaries. SITA
