POLICE have detained five persons, including two foreigners who teach in Slovak schools, for allegedly spreading child pornography produced illegally in Italy, the Hospodárske Noviny wrote.

A British citizen who works as a teacher in Bratislava and a US citizen who taught in Košice ordered the child porn, the police told a press conference on July 14. The police also detained a Dutch citizen and two Slovaks.

Ján Packa, police president, said that the videos were filmed by an Italian.

“This person travelled across several European Union countries, where he filmed girls between six and 12 years old in erotic poses.”

The Slovak police detained the Italian’s customers in Slovakia based on information from Europol.

If convicted, those arrested could face up to eight years in jail.
