Four bidders have enrolled in the tender to select an operator for the first and second Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial (DVB-T) multiplexes in Slovakia

The Telecommunications Office of the Slovak Republic (TÚ) announced that among the candidates were Slovak companies Telecom Corp. and Towercom, and foreign firms Valtech Communications Inc. from Canada and Osterreichische Rundfunksender GmbH & CoKG (ORS) from Austria.

The tender process is currently on hold pending an injunction issued by the Bratislava District Court at the request of Telecom Corp. A five-member selection commission, appointed by the TÚ chairman will assess the submitted bids once the legal action is resolved. SITA
