Stvorenie / The Creation – This ballet piece, choreographed by world-renowned author Uwe Scholz (1958-2004) to music by Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), will be performed by the Czech National Theatre Brno in the new building of the Slovak National Theatre, at Pribinova 17 in Bratislava, on February 9 at 19:00. Tickets for this musical drama – combining the phenomena of both Italian and English oratory, and built around the Biblical story of the creation – cost €5 to €12 and can be bought by calling 02/2047-2299 or via www.snd.sk.

Roberto Ciotti – The Italian blues singer and guitarist comes to Slovakia for the first time, with a concert in Bratislava alongside Ivano Fortuna (drums, percussions) and Fabiola Torresi (bass).

Bach a menej známi barokoví skladatelia - Bach and Less Known Baroque Composers - The Solamente naturali ensemble playing early music brings, within this concert, works of Friedrich Wilhelm Zachow and Heinrich Scheidemann, with alternating vocal, instrumental and organ compositions.

Rock v múzeu / Rock in the Museum – As part of this project, Czech blues harmonica player Ondřej Konrád brings his band Gumbo.

Gabriel Jonáš Latino Trio – This concert by Gabriel Jonáš (keyboards), Juraj Kalász (bass) and Edy Portella (percussions) brings the hot rhythms of Latin jazz to warm up the Slovak winter.

Kruhy na vode / Rings in Water – This exhibitions presents the results of a competition of the same name, organised by ÚĽUV, the centre of traditional crafts and design, as the 7th international contest of craft/ traditional design.

Transtone - Nazim Unal Yilmaz & Kay Walkowiak – Yilmaz (TR, AT) reflects in his expressive paintings references to early avant-garde art, while Walkowiak (AT) focuses on sculpture, installations, photography and film. This exhibition combines the works of both artists.

Desmod & Cigánski diabli – Two popular bands, one playing rock and the other traditional Roma music, join forces for a Slovak tour called Extra IMAO Tour 2013, offering a fusion of rock and ethnic/Gypsy sound. The tour starts on February 4 at 19:00 in the hall of the House of Culture in Pezinok and continues with gigs in Martin, Humenné, Košice and Považská Bystrica. Krňač-kové preteky – This race, on krne or krňačky, or old-style wooden sleighs, has become a tradition in the central-Slovak municipality of Turecká, near Banská Bystrica, taking place annually since 1957 and promising a unique atmosphere.

Výstava tvorivého spolku eNRA Košice - Rozumieme si / The Exhibition of the Creative Club eNRA Košice - We Understand Each Other – eNRA is an international group of Slovak, Hungarian and Romanian artists which organises a three-week-long summer workshop, Rovás Akadémia. This exhibition presents its results.
