BALLET:
Stvorenie / The Creation – This ballet piece, choreographed by world-renowned author Uwe Scholz (1958-2004) to music by Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), will be performed by the Czech National Theatre Brno in the new building of the Slovak National Theatre, at Pribinova 17 in Bratislava, on February 9 at 19:00. CONCERT:
Desmod & Cigánski diabli – Two popular bands, one playing rock and the other traditional Roma music, join forces for a Slovak tour called Extra IMAO Tour 2013, offering a fusion of rock and ethnic/Gypsy sound. The tour starts on February 4 at 19:00 in the hall of the House of Culture in Pezinok and continues with gigs in Martin, Humenné, Košice and Považská Bystrica. Krňač-kové preteky – This race, on krne or krňačky, or old-style wooden sleighs, has become a tradition in the central-Slovak municipality of Turecká, near Banská Bystrica, taking place annually since 1957 and promising a unique atmosphere.
