Roman Brecely is the Sieť expert on energy. Brecely would rather be fit for the economy ministry, the Sme daily pointed out, but Sieť can only fill the ministerial chair at the transport department. Brecely was not elected into the parliament as number 27 on the slate.
Brecely claims he has held important managerial posts in transnational companies in the industry and energy sector in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Sme wrote. This includes the Czech energy giant ČEZ.
In 2013 Brecely briefly served as a member of the board of the Nuclear Energy Company of Slovakia, a joint venture of ČEZ and Slovak state-run company JAVYS, whose sole purpose is to prepare the project of the new nuclear power plant in Jaslovské Bohunice.
