CONCERT: The Hellfreaks, Verdikt Znie, Nuclear Rats - The performances of three bands are ready to go after Easter in Bratislava. The Hellfreaks are an Hungarian group established in 2009 with one female singer Shakey Sue and three male musicians. They are accompanied by two Bratislavan bands - Verdikt Znie and Nuclear Rats. CONCERT: Michelle Gurevich – The musician known also as the Chinawoman, comes to Bratislava for the first time. CLASSICAL MUSIC: The Hilaris Chamber Orchestra – Classical music will be performed by the Hilaris Chamber Orchestra, whose members include Slovak, Czech and Austrian musicians, led by its founder and leader Alana Vizváry. FESTIVAL: [fjúžn] 2017 – The 12th year of the festival [fjúžn], which is dedicated to migration and foreigners in Slovakia, will this time round focus on the topic of Integration. FESTIVAL: Bratislava Cycling Festival – The first Bratislava Cycling Festival includes information about cycle transport, bike maintenance, lectures, test rides of elektrobikes, cargobikes, city retro bikes and others. FESTIVAL: Bratislava City Days 2017 – This is the 14th year of the open days in our capital, which offer sightseeing tours of famous places, concerts, shows, performances, exhibitions and other attractions such as rides on an historic tram. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL: Nu Dance Fest 2017 – The festival of contemporary dance and movement theatre is being held for the 12th time. EXHIBITION: Fashion in Slovakia 1945 – 1989 – The exhibition Nech šije!/ Let it sew! exhibits Slovak clothes worn between the years 1945 – 1989, when Slovakia was a communist state. It is supported by a publication by Zuzana Šidlíková – Stratená móda/ Lost Modes, Culture in Slovakia from 1945 to 1989. EXHIBITION: Contemporary Japanese Design – The Japanese Embassy in cooperation with the Slovak National Museum and the Japan Foundation brings an exhibition named Contemporary Japan Design/ 100, which displays one hundred pieces of Japanese furniture, household appliances, office supplies, clothes and others items. Highlights of the year

SHOW: Cirque du Soleil – The well-known international artistic group, Cirque du Soleil, comes again to Slovakia and for the first time they present their seven performances of the story named Varekai. It begins with a scene about a lonely man who flies down from the sky to wander around the border of reality and absurdity in a world, where miracles happen. CONCERT: Vanessa-Mae - British violin virtuoso Vanessa-Mae comes back to Bratislava after ten years and her performance will be accompanied by 40 Czech musicians from the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, Prague including vocalists. The holder of the Golden Globe in the category of song for The Prayer in the animated film The Magic Sword, who last year released his most recent album named Cinema, comes to Bratislava.
