The icefall Šikľavá Skala is situated close to the villages of Chrasť nad Hornádom and Matejovce nad Hornádom, both in the Spišská Nová Ves district (Košice Region).
It was created from a waterfall located above an extensive pudding stone overhang that is about 14 metres high. In winter, the waterfall turns into a frozen structure full of ice walls, columns and icicles, the TASR newswire wrote.
It belongs among the most beautiful, natural phenomena in Slovakia.
