A decade built on trust

Situated in the House of Journalists, Pulitzer was the perfect name for our restaurant and future brand.

When we opened our Pulitzer Restaurant on the first floor of the House of Journalists in Župné Square ten years ago, we had to prove to our customers that we took our business seriously and loved what we did. So, to gain their trust, we pampered our customers with high-quality service and continue to do so a decade later.

Situated in the House of Journalists, Pulitzer was the perfect name for our restaurant and future brand. Our foundation was built on trust, cultivated by both our loyal customers and dedicated staff. After just a few months in business, we started to forge a special bond with our regular customers, thanks to whom our restaurant continues to prosper.

Four months after opening, The Pulitzer Restaurant faced a dilemma. After realising the strength of the Pulitzer brand, we decided to open another restaurant in the Golden Deer Passageway on SNP Square. Christening our new restaurant with the right name was a challenge at first. Since the restaurant is located in the Golden Deer Passageway, we decided to stick to this ancient name.

We remember having an in-depth conversation with a gentleman, who flooded us with questions: "Are you ashamed of the Pulitzer Restaurant? Are you not proud of Pulitzer? Continue with what you have begun…" he proposed. We trusted him and the Pulitzer brand, so the decision became an easy one to make; our new restaurant would be called Pulitzer at the Golden Deer's (Pulitzer u zlatého jeleňa).

One year ago, Bratislava’s colourful history was revived by the opening of our third ‘‘daughter’’ restaurant. Named after the Slovak capital’s popular legend, Štefánka by Pulitzer is a welcome addition to our well-established brand.

Our Pulitzer restaurants have come to represent something special – a mixture of historical and modern Bratislava. We are very pleased that people continue to put their trust in us, which we have worked tirelessly to gain since we opened our first restaurant on November 4, 2008. We are ten years old, a success in gastronomy.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of our restaurants, especially our family, which is our strongest "brand". Keep putting your trust in the Pulitzer brand and we will continue to pamper you in all of our restaurants, in which trust continues to be our secret ingredient.
