Visiting the Bratislava region? It will be cheaper with a card for tourists

The novelty of this year is free entrance to the Historical Museum at Bratislava Castle.

Both local and foreign tourists may experience the allure and service of Bratislava and the Bratislava region more favourably for the 13th year because of the Bratislava CARD City & Region, which offers 117 discounts and benefits for the 2019/2020 season.

“The self-governing region supports this project because this benefit can lure a bigger number of tourists to the city and region,” said Juraj Droba, chairman of the Bratislava self-governing region, as quoted by the TASR. “Having monuments and all interesting places in one spot is advantageous for tourists, as they can easily arrive to the interesting spots of the region.”

The card offers, for example, unlimited travel on public transport, a free walking tour of the city centre and free entrance to 12 museums and galleries in Bratislava, as well as two museums in the region – more specifically Červený Kameň Castle and the Small Carpathian Museum in Pezinok.

The novelty for this year is free entrance to the Historical Museum of Slovak National Museum at Bratislava Castle. With the card, it is also possible to travel for free using the Small-Carpathian Express from June until September, the entrance admission to Crown Photo-Video Point is free and there are other discounts up to 50 percent.
