There's another place to stop by when in the High Tatras thanks to the new attraction in the village of Ždiar, called Svetelný Dóm, or Light Dome.

The exhibition is dedicated to nature and its animal inhabitants. They are displayed in unique form.

“The Light Dome is a place where the secrets of insects and their lives are revealed,” said Kamil Pitoňák, a manager of the dome.

The exhibits include intricate sculptures, made in China to resemble real animals.

Opening hours:

July-September

  • 10:00-18:00 during working days

  • 10:00-21:00 during weekends
