Morské Oko attracts visitors with its gorgeous scenery

There is a touristic route leading around the lake.

Lake Morské Oko is the biggest lake in the Vihorlat Mountains.

It spreads over an area of about 13 hectares and has crystal-clear water, the TASR newswire reported.

The western and northern coast is covered by sand with a mild incline. The eastern part is steep and rocky.

There is a touristic route, which takes about 1 1/2 hours of walking to complete, wrapping around the lake.

The closest access is from the carpark Krivec nad Remetskými Hámrami, from which it takes 20 minutes by foot to reach the lake.
