The leaked communication of Marian Kočner from the Threema app has shaken the political scene in the recent weeks. Almost every day, Denník N and aktuality.sk are publishing a new transcription of the text messages that allegedly came from Kočner’s mobile phone, texts to Alena Zsuzsová. Kočner is accused of ordering the murder of Ján Kuciak along with three other murders.

In his communication Kočner mentioned Smer chairman Robert Fico, Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko and chairman of the junior coalition party Most-Híd Béla Bugár. They all held press conferences denying that they communicated or met with Kočner in the way described in the text messages or at all. Analysts agree that Threema will be one of the main topics of the upcoming political campaign.

Political analyst Pavol Baboš from Comenius University mentions that it is not clear what about the communication is true and what is Marian Kočner boasting.
